Concerning Devotion 2(Psalm 63:1-8, Acts 17:27, Proverbs 8:17, Psalm 139)
May 18, 2025
Hi Beloved,
I hope my last letter met you well and was able to answer some questions in your heart. I was able to convince you that your sincere heart is the basis for a constant devotion with me and that I also seek to speak with you daily.
Psalms 63:1-8 TPT: [1] O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! [2] I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory. [3] For your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself. How I love and praise you, God! [4] Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart. My arms will wave to you like banners of praise. [5] I overflow with praise when I come before you, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul. [6-7] I lie awake each night thinking of you and reflecting on how you help me like a father. I sing through the night under your splendor-shadow, offering up to you my songs of delight and joy! [8] With passion I pursue and cling to you. Because I feel your grip on my life, I keep my soul close to your heart.
Acts 17:27 EASY: [27] God did all this so that people would want to know him. They would look carefully for him and perhaps they would find him. Really, God is near to each of us.
Proverbs 8:17 CEV: [17] I love everyone who loves me, and I will be found by all who honestly search.
Psalm 139 NKJV: Psalm 139 NKJV
In this letter, I am going to speak further about keeping a daily devotion, so sit tight and be ready to put to good use all that I tell you in this letter.
In my last letter, I established that keeping to your devotion and being consistent with it starts from a sincere heart. A heart that wants to know me; and then doing the simple things like saying a word of prayer. However, it does not stop there!
In ensuring that you stay consistent, you have to see to it that you show up everyday (as many times as possible) with sincerity in your heart. The truth is, as long as you are sincere in your heart about seeking me and you ask for help in prayer, I will surely show up to give that help.
When I show up to give the help that you very much need; I will give you instructions on what to do. The question now is; “Are you obeying those instructions?” Yes, you are sincere and genuine in your heart about seeking me and you have asked me to help you, but are you taking the help I’m offering?
My help comes in the instructions I give and the ability I put in you to obey those instructions but you have to recognise this and actually obey. Stop leaving my instructions unattended to! I will put nudgings to pray in your heart, you must obey them and actually pray. I will put in you the desire for my word, feed that desire.
Also, how can you achieve consistency when you do not put structures in place to actually help you be consistent? Set out a separate time, no matter how little, to pray and study everyday and trust in me and my help to show up everyday and keep to this.
Remember, you have the Holy Spirit in you. He is all the help, power and ability you need to stay consistent and keep showing up everyday in devotion.
Never forget, I LOVE YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE.
With love,
Abba Love.
